Fruit, Leaf, Star, Tardis (& More)

In this last ornament post I've included a miscellany of my remaining favorites. The beeswax maple leaf and angel ornaments were made by my daughter  in her Waldorf school. We acquired the tardis lights during daughter's Dr. Who mania in middle school. The shelf-sitting tree with candle-in-apple sweetly reminds us of holiday cheer. Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas: Fauna

Among my very favorite ornaments are three seahorses: pink, blue, and green.  Here again I had trouble choosing just one image, as I love the details, and each view seems to highlight something new. The animal collection includes a dinosaur and a rhino. I included the doe image to accompany the stag, and the tiny animals for their smiles!

Christmas: Orbs

Taking photos of my round ornaments proved challenging; focus was easiest in daylight conditions which lacked a Christmas mood. I hope the beauty of these orbs shines through despite that. Many of these are decades old, having been purchased by my parents in the 1950s or 60s. They are family treasures.

Christmas: Santas

Here are some of my favorite Santa ornaments and decorations. I had a difficult time choosing only one image for a few of these Santas, as you can see! The title photo is a detail from a molded box painted by artist friends many years ago. You can see the original green color coming through on Santa's nose from wear over the years.

Christmas: Tiny Ornaments

Here are images of some tiny ornaments we have collected over the years. This Christmas they are hanging from the twigs of a decorative broom. The miniature gift list is a detail from a shelf-sitting Santa; you can find him in the Santa post, up next.

Christmas: Lights & Angels

In this series of posts I share images of my favorite Christmas decorations, some handed down to me from my parents (now deceased). Due to cat concerns I have not had an actual Christmas tree for several years. Instead, I have hung ornaments from strings of lights. Now that my cats are older, I will have a tree next year! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these images. First up: lights and angels.
